Q&A with Stephanie
Netflix? Amazon Prime? What’s your favorite TV show?
As it turns out, a little bit of both! Even though I don't watch too much television, I love 'The Crown' on Netflix and 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' on Prime.
TV aside, what inspired you to pursue a career as a PT?
The truth is that I have always had a love for science, particularly biology and medicine, ever since I was a small child. My love for physical activity was combined with my love of moving, so PT seemed like a winning combination.
Do you find yourself practicing what you preach?
Always! Those are the words I live by. There would be no meaning or purpose in what I do if I did not believe in, and practice what I do each and every day. In no case would I ever prescribe an exercise I haven't done myself or offer advice on something I have not personally worked on in one form or another.
You're clearly passionate about what you do as a PT. What are some of your passion projects outside of work?
Believe it or not, but studying the use of wearables to move a population to better health. Additionally, I love being in nature, exploring the outdoors as well as listening to music.
What's on your travel destination wishlist?
Tel Aviv! New Zealand, Portugal, and almost anywhere in South America.
What do you like most about working at/with OneStep?
First and foremost, I love the one on one physical therapy aspect of it all. I also really love the ability to actually be able to monitor adherence to exercise and see the real time feedback. And of course, getting to have regular chats with patients between sessions to check-in!
